Almost all the browsers will ask you to set it as default when you open them and same is the case with the chrome and by chance if you selected not to show the dialog box and wanted to make chrome as your default browser here is how you can make it as default.
Steps to make chrome as your default browser :
1. Go to settings options by clicking on the “settings” which is shown with “spanner” icon which is on the right hand side of your chrome.
2. It opens up the settings window, At the bottom of the settings window you can find an option to “Make Chrome as your Default Browser”.
3. As soon as you select the option to “Make Google Chrome as default”, it will be your default browser or it will ask you to chose which application system should use to open “http” files and you can chose your option of browser to be default.
