I generally use Mozilla Firefox but recently one of my friend asked me to help her in downloading youtube video. I know that there are many websites that could help her in downloading youtube videos but I wanted to add an extension so that it would be easy to download videos next time. After some time I realized that it is not so simple to install an extension that helps to download youtube videos through chrome store as it is against there policy 4.4.1 . Please find below screenshot.
So what does this mean to you ?
It means that there is no way you can find an extension that will help you to download youtube video’s but interestingly I found few extensions that will help you in downloading facebook, daily motion and vimeo videos. Anyways it is not our topic to discuss.So I have managed to find few third party extensions that will help you in downloading youtube videos.
And there are few restrictions in Google Chrome to installing third party extensions and there is a separate way in which you have to install third party extensions. The 2 extensions below will help you to download the youtube videos.

As shown in the above screen shot, It will show the download option just below the video that you are playing and you have an option of the format of the video file that you want to download.
To download the extension just go to Chrome Youtube Downloader Extension in Chrome Extensions and hit on “Add to Chrome”
Here is one other extension which will help you download the youtube videos , This is not so popular extension but is best as chrome youtube downloader and is simple to use.
The installation procedure is same as the previous extension, To install this extension just go to Best youtube downloader page in chromeextensions.org and hit on “Add to Chrome”.
Best Way to download any Video :
Having said about these extensions, there is nothing that could come in the way of “Internet Download Manager”. It is one of the best way to download any video in any browser that you use.
